Weekend’s day trips to wine regions close to Brno.

Every month we choose one wine festival in the close wine regions of South Moravia. Festival that we consider to be the best one. We manage entrance, train or bus tickets, informations and know-how about the event. We will be your personal travel buddy during the whole trip.

    Slovácko subregion 

    Slovácko is located in the south-east of Moravia and has very diverse natural conditions. In the south of Slovácko lies the landscape of Podluží. Most of the wine-growing villages lie along the Morava River, where the cooling north-easterly winds blow. Typical white varieties are Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot blanc, Sylvaner and aromatic Muškát moravský. Red wines are mostly made from Frankovka, Zweigelt and Cabernet Moravia.
    Slovácko has a very diverse wine production. Join us and discover the beauty of wines from this region.

    Wine harvest festival in Bzenec

    Dear friends,
    have you ever heard of "vinobraní" - a celebration of grape harvesting and harvest feast? The most famous and popular event of the entire wine year. No? Come with us!

    Our steps will lead to vinobraní in Slovácko subregion - to Bzenec.


    A comfortable train ride from Brno main station to Slovácko region. The most authentic region, where traditions are still alive and people are extremely friendly.
    We will take a look into the Bzenec Chateau Winery cellars with a small example of their production, we will taste the wine champions of the Slovácko national wine competition.
    We will take part in a costumed parade on the main square and walk among the vineyards to the iconic place with a magnificent view of the surroundings - the Old Castle with the Chapel of St. Florian.
    Come with us and enjoy amazing wines, local cuisine, folkloric music and celebrate the harvesting time!

    How it looks like:

    • we meet at Brno railwain station with departure at 9:28 AM (10:48 AM in Bzenec)
    • in Bzenec we start with the tour and wine tasting in Bzenec Chateau Winery
    • then wine tasting of wine champions from Slovácko subregion in the area of Bzenec Chateau Winery
    • have a look at the costumed parade on the main square
    • walk between the vineyards to St. Florian Chapel with stunning views
    • train ride back to Brno at 7:10 PM (8:33 PM in Brno)

    Trip price: 990 CZK includes:

    • train ticket to Bzenec and back to Brno
    • a tour of the historic wine cellars in Bzenec Chateau Winery with wine tasting
    • wine tasting of the champions from Slovácko subregion
