The Modré hory region are among the most picturesque corners of South Moravia within sight of Brno. The vineyards spread over the hilly area are perfectly suited to the black grape varieties, from which it is easy to guess the origin of the name for this region. The municipalities of Velké Pavlovice, Bořetice, Kobylí, Vrbice and Němčičky form a colorful mosaic of unusual experiences that are offered to visitors here.

Learn about the life of people who have been growing vines here for centuries. Being a winemaker is a demanding profession. According to the winemakers themselves, the first priority is work in the vineyard, care for the vines, excellent knowledge of the climate, soil components, selection of the best varieties in accordance with the local terroir. We will visit the vineyards located on the terraces above the village Bořetice, we will look at the landscape from the observation tower. Bořetice is located in the Independent Union Republic of Kraví hora, a recessionary state with its own government, ministries and money. We will walk the alleys with typical wine cellars, listen to a winemaker's lecture. Then we will go to the places where the wine is produced, as well as to the modern production halls and cellars where the wine matures.

Velké Pavlovice – the vine breeding station operatates for over 110 years. The place where experts created vine varieties such as Pálava and André. Educational vineyard trail with more than 160 types of local and world vine varieties.

We will also visit Vrbice, a vine-growing village located on a hill, which has become famous not only for its great wines, but also for its interesting wine cellars, which do not deny the originality of their creators. Tolkien fans may be reminded of hobbit dwellings. But beware, the locals are quite sensitive to this comparison.

Kobylí - we will visit the Folk culture museum, where the local association of "aunties" from Kobylí maintains old traditions, cooks according to original recipes and organizes various cultural events. Another attraction of the village Kobylí is the observation tower in the shape of a spiral, which can be climbed even by disabled people.

Wine tasting at the Vino J.Stávek winery, which won 1st place in the national competition "Winery of the Year 2017". This winery specializes in fortified, cuveé and rosé wines. The owner, Jan Stávek, is a very dynamic person with a huge knowledge of wine. He is a real enthusiast, under whose hands great wines are created that are awarded at wine competitions in the Czech Republic and throughout Europe.
